Implementation & Field Operations Lead

As an Implementation & Field Operations Lead, you will lead the hands-on implementation, field survey, and hardware maintenance/repair function across RF, Embedded, and Optical domains. This is the top operational role for delivery: you own planning and execution from lab bench to field, bringing structure, speed, and quality to a multi-disciplinary team.

You’ll coordinate technicians/engineers, align with project managers and warehouse, and jump in technically when needed. The ideal candidate is T-shaped: strong in at least one domain (RF, Embedded, or Optical) and conversant enough in the others to make good decisions and triage issues.

Key Responsibilities

Team & Operations Leadership

• Schedule team activities: site surveys, integrations, installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Manage weekly priorities, capacity planning, and vendor handovers.
• Coordinate between engineering, project management, logistics, and field crews.
• Establish and enforce SOPs and drive continuous improvement.
• Triage urgent/planned work and maintain communication with stakeholders.

RF (Field, Bench, Planning, Systems)

• Execute installations and optimizations for DAS, repeaters, small cells, radios.
• Oversee PIM/Sweep, spectrum analysis, and acceptance testing.
• Conduct component-level diagnostics and ensure compliance with regulations.

Embedded (Field, Bench, Planning, Systems)

• Lead deployment and service of embedded/IoT hardware.
• Perform bench work including flashing and debugging.
• Manage device fleet monitoring and update procedures.

Optical (Field, Bench, Planning, Systems)

• Supervise fiber runs and coordinate testing and documentation.
• Manage splicing and optical acceptance tests.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Oversee H&S practices, define acceptance tests, and maintain tool inventories.

Tools & Systems

• Utilize task boards and dashboards for effective team productivity.
• Ensure accurate stock control with the warehouse.

Requirements

What You Bring:

• Degree in Electrical / Telecommunications / Computer Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in field/lab work in at least one core area (RF, Embedded, or Optical), with some knowledge of the others.
• Experience with:
• RF: DAS/repeaters/small cells, spectrum analyzers, PIM, RF cabling & connectors.
• Embedded: MCU/SBC platforms (STM32, ESP32, Raspberry Pi), basic Linux, debugging, reading schematics.
• Optical: fiber handling, OTDR/power meter use, splicing coordination.
• Ability to prioritize and organize multi-crew work and communicate effectively in dynamic environments.
• Strong documentation skills; experience creating SOPs and reports.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel (mainly within Greece, occasional EU trips).
• Professional proficiency in Greek & English.
