Job Summary

Responsible for the procurement, storage and maintenance of all pharmacy inventory. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Training as per State Board of Pharmacy requirements for Pharmacy Technician.

Minimum Experience Requirement:

Two years as a pharmacy technician in a hospital environment is required. Must have knowledge of trade/generic drug names. Must be able to perform mathematical calculations and have sufficient typing skills for computer order entry. Must have good understanding of pharmacy systems and how they relate to inventory and formulary control. Needs general understanding of pharmacy computer applications, same technical expertise with personal computers, and be able to use common reference material. Able to withstand stress of high activity area. Proficiency in English (verbal and written skills) in order to communicate effectively with co-workers and customers within and outside the organization. Excellent customer service skills required.

Minimum License Requirement:

Pharmacy Technician License is required.

Pay Range:

$25.80 - $36.90
