Student Intern, Central Pharmacy, High Point Medical Center

Job Summary: Performs office support for the practice in the role indicated by the assigned leader.

Education/Experience: High school (at least grade 11) or college student.

Licensure/Certification and/or Registration: N/A

Essential Functions:

• Communicates effectively and courteously on the telephone and in person with patients and colleagues.
• Actively participates as a team member by supporting decisions, accepting change, managing conflict, and valuing the contributions of others.
• May fill-in for other support staff when necessary.
• Provides support in the area indicated by the office manager.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Ability to work under stressful situations demanding high concentration and energy level.
• Strong English grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Awareness of common safety hazards and universal precautions to establish a safe work environment.

Work Environment:

• Comfortable, well-lit office environment.
• Moderate noise level.
