We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance team in Gurnee, IL. In this full-time days position, you will ensure the performance and reliability of mechanical systems including rotating equipment, conveyors, drives, and support infrastructure. You will play a key role in maintenance planning, equipment diagnostics, and continuous improvement efforts in collaboration with Maintenance, Production, and Technical Services teams.
This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is an opportunity to make an impact by improving equipment efficiency and supporting safe, high-quality operations.
This position is located in our Gurnee, IL location
The current hourly range for this role is estimated to be $37–$40 specific compensation offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

What You’ll Do:
Maintenance & Repair
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems including pumps, compressors, turbines, conveyors, and piping
Perform scheduled, preventive, and emergent maintenance activities
Support on-site maintenance teams with diagnostics and escalate complex issues as needed
Safely use hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment
Planning & Scheduling
Prepare work orders with necessary resources: SOPs, tools, permits, equipment history, and parts
Coordinate with Production to schedule maintenance based on asset availability and priorities
Lead weekly scheduling meetings and track KPIs to support continuous improvement
Provide feedback and updates to Technical Services to improve maintenance strategies
Documentation & Systems
Accurately record maintenance activities in SAP or similar CMMS systems
Prepare quotes for high-value work orders and ensure BOM accuracy
Monitor spare part inventory and ensure availability through spare parts planning processes
Close out work orders and document follow-up actions
Teamwork & Compliance
Collaborate with operators, contractors, and support teams
Adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality standards
Wear required PPE and operate in environments with heat, humidity, and height (up to 12 stories)
