The Acute Care Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works in the hospital setting as part of team led by a registered nurse (RN) to provide care to a group of patients. Under the direction of the RN, the LPN contributes to the assessment of patient condition; implementation of interventions including treatments and administration of medications; development and modification of the plan of care; maintenance of a safe and therapeutic environment; and evaluation of patient responses to the plan of care.

Associate Degree/Diploma from an accredited program is required
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - State Licensing Board
Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
Experience in an acute care environment as an LPN, or unlicensed assistive personnel role Preferred
