Senior Designer

We are looking for a Senior Designer to join our dynamic team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a unique opportunity to bring your expertise in digital and print design. The Role You Could Play

As a key player in the Design team, you will be responsible for delivering and leading the creative of all forms of communication for MECCA. This may include digital touchpoints such as the website, email, media and social and printed touchpoints such as MECCA/Brand-led campaigns, events and adhoc briefs. You will be pivotal in fostering a high-performing team by promoting effective workflows, a collaborative culture, and strong team dynamics.

You will also:

• Be the brand custodian and ensure consistency of brand guidelines and messaging across all channels

• Guide the development of online and digital creative requirements

• Motivate and lead the team to find ways to push creative boundaries and ways to innovate

• Work closely with other departments and manage expectations and stakeholder approvals

• Lead concepting identities for MECCA/Brand-Led campaigns and show how they can translate across all digital and print touchpoints (eg. website, social, paid, in-store)

• Lead and deliver all MECCA/Brand-Led campaign digital touchpoints incl. Paid, social and in-store digital screens

• Support the team on ad-hoc projects, such as events and activations, PR collateral etc.

What You Will Bring

You will excel at working under tight deadlines, managing multiple team members across various projects, and demonstrating excellent communication skills. Success in this role requires meticulous attention to detail, an appreciation for a luxurious retail environment, and the ability to balance commercial sensibility with creative ambition. Your ability to lead, innovate, and maintain high standards will be crucial to your success as a Senior Designer at MECCA Brands.

• A tertiary qualification in Digital Media Design, Interactive Media Design, Visual Communications Design, Multimedia or similar

• Strong, demonstrable technical skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects) Figma, and other creative tools to image-make and communicate

• Demonstrated experience designing digital campaigns that live across journeys that include but not limited to Responsive Web, EDMs, social media posts (paid and organic) and experiential media prefer

• red. Understanding of motion design and being able to storyboard/brief motion designers

• Able to ideate, create and concept with strong creative flair

• A deep understanding of typography principles and best practice application for digital and print outcomes

• Passionate about creating engaging, best-in-class digital content

• Having a good understanding of print (in-store signage, packaging, printed brochures

• etc.)

• Highly organised and able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment

• Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage timelines

• The ability to present your designs and ideas to senior stakeholders and be responsible and adept at gathering, processing and actioning feedback with both client and developers.
