Senior IT Application Manager (f/m/d) (Linux & Java based)

Your tasks: 
You will manage applications within the european energy market to guarantee the EEX Group service quality and resilience towards internal and external customers. Your work will directly influence the European power market – a growing and highly regulated market that is in search of further innovation. Automation, quality, and high availability is of extreme importance to us. We are looking for an experienced Linux Administrator for operating Debian and RedHat operating systems on dedicated DevOps Hardware. You will be responsible for the orderly operation of the applications, the definition of functional release requirements and the release testing. Within a diverse team you will contribute to the stable operation, share your knowledge, and support each other in on-call duties. The continuous improvement of applications and processes are part of your tasks as well as increasing the operational effectiveness by applying your IT know-how.

Your skills:

• Deep knowledge in Linux operating systems Debian and RedHat
• Deep knowledge of Devops Tools like Github /Jenkins and Artifactory 
• Experience in working with a DevOps setup as well as with Ansible
• Knowhow and hands-on experience with ITIL
• Knowledge of Testing strategies and processes, covering requirements’ tracking, test analysis and quality assurance
• Data base management know-how at least in one technology (Oracle, MySQL, Postgres)
• Ideally expertise in a regulated banking environment
• Mindset of an influencer who wants to collaborate and improve status-quo
• Excellent language skills in English and good skills German
