What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Build up and lead the Production & Material Control Team, responsible of the monitoring and control of entire body production and material process chain in the plant in 3 shifts,
- Monitoring and control of the vehicle tracking process from body shop to final assembly line, ensure countermeasures and escalation in order to adhere to delivery dates to sale department,
- Monitoring and control of the entire material flow from incoming goods to delivery to the line, ensure countermeasures and escalation in order to increase the inhouse supply reliability,
- Establishment of proactive measures for a smooth factory operation in agreement with production and IT departments,
- Active and timely countermeasures in the event of missed deadlines in the individual processes and, if necessary, initiation of measures to meet delivery dates and intermediate production status points,
- Root cause analysis of backlogged vehicles and delayed material as well as determination and monitoring of new completion and delivery dates,
- Regular reporting to production and management for optimal and timely delivery of vehicles to the dealers / importers,
- Ensure the recruiting and qualification of Production & Material Control personnel in 3 shifts based on ramp up plan,
- Ensure standardization of decision-making procedures and best practice among the 3 working shifts,
- Support own process control through planning and implementing KPIs with clear responsibility distribution, coordinate problem solving activity in case of deviance from the defined targets,
- Analyze and authorize the department budget, assure its fulfillment, and develop countermeasures to compensate deviation observed by optimizing or reassigning technical and human resources.
Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require daily attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, SC. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- 5+ years of professional experience in automotive production and logistics
- 3+ years of progressive experience building and managing teams
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, or related fields
- Strong understanding of Production environment and affinity to work with complex IT-Systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to details
- Strong communication skills. Able to communicate to Board level management as well as direct workers on the production line
- Detailed Knowledge and extensive Experience in Quality Management Systems (ISO, VDA, etc.) and related process requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple information simultaneously
