Retail Attendant

Essentials duties and responsibilities (May include, but not limited to the following): 

• Attendants must maintain accurate money handling and proficiency on the cash register
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the gift shop 
• Unpack incoming freight as soon as possible, counting and checking against the packing slip
• Demonstrate excellent salesmanship while maintaining a warm and friendly atmosphere
• Exemplify our core values, family style service, our mission and vision
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
• Merchandise the gift shop in accordance to company standards 
• Re-stocks merchandise as directed
• Regularly provides feedback and information to Supervisor on duty regarding inventory levels of merchandise, customer feedback/perceptions
• Assists customers and guests providing information about property events, promotions, restaurants and/or hotel amenities
• Encourages multiple sales by offering additional/complimentary products and/or services

 

Scheduling expectations: 

• Clock in for your shift on time (6 minute grace period) 
• Scheduling flexibility (Nights and weekends) 
• This is a part-time position, and you will work 3 to 4 days per week for 6 to 8 hours per day based on the needs of the business 
• Will occasionally have to work until 2AM on Friday and Saturdays 

 

Education/experience: 

• High school diploma or GED 
• One to two years of previous experience in retail 

 

Mental and physical demands: 

• Standing for long periods of time 
• Ability to bend, crouch, turn, and reach overhead
• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds
• Mobility to move about the work area
