Position Summary:
The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and Children’s Wisconsin (CW), seeks a board certified / board eligible physician to join our expanding Division. This position is located in Milwaukee, WI at the Children's Wisconsin hospital campus. We are comprised of nationally and internationally renowned, dedicated group of faculty and staff with a strong commitment to clinical care.
Position Highlights:
The 4th year non-invasive imaging Cardiology fellow position plays a critical role in our imaging lab operations as well as serves as an important part of our academic mission, maintaining our standing as a premier institution. As mentioned, this position augments sonographer workforce, cardiologist efficiency within echo lab and advanced imaging (CT and MRI), and holds an independent outpatient clinic. This role is 100% clinical.
Participate in completion and interpretation of standard transthoracic echocardiograms, utilizing traditional 2D imaging tools such as spectral and color flow Doppler as well as more advanced techniques such as deformation imaging.
Participate in completion and interpretation of standard peri-operative transesophageal echocardiograms.
Participate in completion and interpretation of standard peri-procedural transesophageal echocardiograms, including intervention guidance.
Participate in completion and interpretation of standard three-dimensional transthoracic echocardiograms.
Participate in completion and interpretation of cross-sectional imaging modalities including cardiac MRI (CMR) and cardiac CT.
Participate in completion and interpretation of standard fetal echocardiograms. This should also include experience in counseling families following imaging.
Present imaging studies at weekly surgical conference
Attend daily educational sessions and participate in the faculty rotation for teaching these sessions as applicable.
Create/Develop a research idea and complete a scholarly project during their fellowship. It is expected that this project will result in abstracts for national meeting presentation as well as a published manuscript.
Locations the position may work in North or Southeastern Wisconsin, primarily in Milwaukee.
Performs other duties as assigned by Chair or Chair-Designate.

Qualifications:
Medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Cardiology.
Unrestricted State medical licensure, or eligibility to obtain license, in the state of Wisconsin.
