Working closely with the vice president of content and collaborating with cross-functional teams in content, marketing, and sales, you will be responsible for all our content operations and managing a small team of content professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Management Systems: Ownership of managing content management system (CMS) to ensure efficient and effective content storage, organization, and retrieval. Collaborates with IT teams to optimize CMS functionality and user experience for content creators and consumers
- Content Governance: Supports VP of Content Marketing in establishing and enforcing content governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and quality standards. Collaborate with legal teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines (when they exist) across all content
- Content Distribution and Scheduling: Develop and manage content calendars to ensure the right content is delivered to the right place at the right time. Collaborate with marketing, product, and sales, to align content distribution with business objectives and target audience needs
- Content Workflow Optimization: Continuously evaluate and enhance content workflows, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, reduce inefficiencies, and improve content creation and distribution timelines
- Content Repurposing and Updates: Identify opportunities to repurpose and update existing content to maximize its value and reach. Collaborate with content creators and subject matter experts to ensure timely updates and relevance of content assets
- Content Flow Management: Oversee the flow of content across the business, ensuring efficient content creation, review, approval, and distribution processes. Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for smoother content operations
- Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong collaboration and communication with content creators, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to facilitate effective content operations. Act as a liaison between different teams to ensure alignment and coordination of content-related activities
- Content Training and Documentation: Develop training materials and documentation to educate content creators on best practices, content guidelines, and CMS functionality, ensuring consistent and high-quality content production
- Metrics and Performance Monitoring: Work with VP of Content Marketing to establish and track KPIs related to content operations, such as content turnaround time, content accuracy, and content utilization. Analyze data and provide insights to optimize content operations and improve overall efficiency
