The Senior Accountant will join the Global Finance Strategy team and continue to support our OneStream platform implementation.  This role designs and implements standardized, sustainable OneStream reports for forecasting and analysis purposes.   It’s an exciting opportunity to build OneStream system expertise while also collaborating with Corporate Consolidations, XP&A, and business unit stakeholders to ensure alignment between business needs and system capabilities.

What You Will Do:

• Support creation of OneStream reporting focused on forecasting and analysis
• Serve as lead to Center of Excellence team, guiding their efforts to ensure deadlines are met
• Obtain OneStream administrative knowledge, understanding dimensions and their reporting impact
• Participate in design solutioning efforts, ensuring that reporting needs are considered
• Act as the liaison between reporting teams and business process owners, representing reporting during system design and redesign activities.
• Provide strategic input on financial transformation initiatives and reporting enhancements.
• Communicate effectively with global stakeholders on reporting governance and accounting-related matters.

What You Have:

• Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
• Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision
• Analytical Thinking: High level of business acumen and problem solving skills
• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment
• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
• Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
• Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting and forecasting

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

• OneStream experience in report design or implementation (or equivalent expertise)
• Experience working in a global environment and have a global mentality 
• Knowledge of Caterpillar’s accountable reporting process including methodology, transactions and closing processes.

Additional Info:

• This position can be in Irving, TX or Peoria, IL
• This role is a full time position and currently requires 5 days a week in office
• Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify

• International and Domestic travel up to 5%
