Stationary Engineer

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 5 years’ experience of verified Journeyman level work
• Journeyman certification for stationary engineers, typically obtained through a structured apprenticeship program 
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical operation and maintenance of power generation equipment is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to stand, walk, sit for prolonged periods
• Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, reach, stretch, kneel, and squat.
• Must be able to perform repetitive tasks or motions for prolonged periods.
• Must have sufficient physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina to complete various tasks.
• Must be able to work in personal protective clothing and equipment, such as coveralls, safety glasses, and gloves.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• This is an Onsite position that requires work to be performed onsite at an Aleut location
• This role requires work in a non-office setting, outdoor and industrial locations.
• Work requires exposure to heat/cold, noise, dust, mist, and/or fumes.
• Required the ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
• We require wearing personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, fall protection harness, protective-toe footwear, gloves, hard hat, and hearing protection.
• Work hazards include electrical shock and noise hazards

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be available to work shifts within a 24/7 operational schedule.
• Position will require rotating on-call ability within the department.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening and drug test.
• Must be able to obtain a favorable National Agency Check (NAC) per contract.
• Must complete all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.
• Must be proficient with the English Language per contract.
