What you'll do...

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative Senior Data Analyst to join the Investigative Risk and Operational Compliance Center (IROCC) team! Based in Bentonville, AR with no remote exceptions.

The Senior Data Analyst will provide analytics support to Ethics and Compliance programs for multiple subject matter areas across the enterprise. Key responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Investigating and integrating data from disparate and varied data sources,

  • Designing, delivering, and supporting BI dashboards to uncover insights and characterize risk, and

  • Translating complex business problems into effective technical solutions and impactful data visualizations.

The Senior Data Analyst will require working with complex and large-scale datasets, both structured and unstructured, including identifying and implementing appropriate data modeling techniques and ETL processes. In addition, this role will conduct research to benchmark industry best practices, stay current with emerging technologies, and leverage available technological solutions to best manage risk within each area of focus. Finally, the Senior Data Analyst will collaborate cross-functionally with business partners and project stakeholders from many areas of Walmart and will require a customer-first mindset, a high standard of work quality, and the ability to communicate complex results and concepts to non-technical audiences.

What You'll Do:

  • Produce clear and impactful visualizations in support of complex cases.

  • Conduct exploratory analysis including hypothesis testing, statistical inference, and statistical analysis (predictive and/or prescriptive).

  • Partner with Ethics and Compliance stakeholders to translate challenging business problems into state-of-the-art data analytics / data science solutions.

  • Develop processes and tools that monitor, analyze, and continuously improve compliance programs.

  • Present findings verbally and in writing.

  • Make complex and difficult matters simple and easily understood.

What You'll Bring:

  • You have experience with languages used to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets and have working knowledge of at least one of the following: R, Python, SQL, VBA, and BigQuery, (GCP).

  •  You have professional experience database technologies and distributed datastores (e.g. SQL, NoSQL).

  • You have strong knowledge of mathematics, particularly statistics.

  • You have experience in data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, Tableau Prep, Dataiku.

  • You have strong analytical skills and can recognize and interpret insights in data, have a mindset for continuous learning and improvement, and can break down large problems into smaller simpler problems.

  • You are someone who can execute, with strong discipline and organization skills; someone who gets things done with a strong customer focus and consistently high standards.
