We are currently seeking a Staff Systems Integration Engineer for the Efficiency & Performance team. This position requires a talented engineer with passion and experience to optimize multi-disciplinary, complex, and integrated vehicle systems.Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches their work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.
You will:
- Be responsible for implementation of hardware and software changes that improve vehicle performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to identify opportunities for improvement, following projects through from inception to completion.
- Investigate test results and usage data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Create roadmaps for projects with milestones and deliverables.
- Contribute to test plans, data analysis and feature validation tests
- Couple the effects of different systems in a BEV including motor, gearbox, inverter, battery, charger, chassis, cooling, and controls.
- Work efficiently within a multidisciplinary cooperative and innovative environment, including directly cooperating with powertrain teams, test teams and software teams
You Bring:
- 5+ years of expertise in hardware or software integration in the automotive industry.
- A strong desire to create state-of-the-art engineering products as an integral part of a very capable team.
- A flair for creative engineering and problem solving.
- Experience in debugging and resolving hardware or software issues.
- Excellent communication skills in both technical and non-technical environments.
Advantageous:
- Understanding of the physics and systems of electric vehicles.
- Project managing experience.
- Additional fields of experience (thermal, electromagnetics, structural statics/dynamics, material science).
- Working knowledge of vehicle communication network systems (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.)
- Experience of optimization methods and software.
- Experience with MATLAB and Python.
- Experience with HIL and SIL testing.
- Some knowledge of scripting for simulation process automation.
Education:
- BS 8+ years (and preferably MS and 6+ year or PhD and 3+ years) in an engineering discipline.
