- Helps students develop interpersonal skills and problem-solving capabilities through group interaction and collaboration
- Plans and organizes related programming throughout the year
- Advises students to encourage and support student achievement
- Monitors, supervises, and enforces rule of conduct and behavior of assigned students; reinforces positive student behaviors in accordance with school and District policy
- Observes, evaluates, and records student performance, behavior, social development, and physical health; prepares student, attendance and activity reports as required by administrators
- Prepares educational course outlines, objectives, and materials according to curriculum guidelines or state and local requirements; communicates to students clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects; and instructs students individually and in groups, using various teaching methods and technology and adjusting teaching style and method to meet student learning style
- Prepares, administers, assigns, and grades tests and assignments to evaluate student progress, reporting grades using District software
- Communicates with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve student behavioral and academic problems and coordinate instructional efforts
- Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience minimum.
- Experience managing a highly-individualized classroom.
- Demonstrated experience in subject matter area.
- Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education.
- Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
- Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.
