Job Description

Position Objective:  

• Maintain the standard set by the Company for a clean and safe work environment.

Essential Functions:

• Cleaning and sanitizing of rest rooms and locker rooms.
• Cleaning of various offices, as assigned.
• Mop hard floors and vacuum carpeted flooring, in assigned areas.
• Cleaning of carpets, as needed.
• Mop floor and clean tables in lunch room; clean kitchen.
• Wipe down doors and toe kicks, clean windows and empty garbage in assigned areas.
• Clean counter tops, drinking fountains, sinks and cabinets.
• Empty all waste baskets and ashtrays, recycling paper where appropriate.
• Clean floor windows and stairs.
• Use of floor scrubber, scissors lift, floor buffer and vacuum cleaner, as needed, to perform duties.
• Maintain all equipment as abilities allow.
• Make sure all chemicals are used properly and disposed of.
• Monitor usage of cleaning supplies and requisition replacements, as needed.
• Train new custodial personnel to perform duties to the standards set by the Company.
• Perform all other duties as required or directed.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Capable of working at heights up to 20 feet off the ground.
• Able to read, comprehend and apply information contained in Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Ability to work with little or no direct supervision.
• Proven ability to maintain the housekeeping/custodial standards set by the Company.
• Ability to oversee the work performance/activities of other custodial employees.
• High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
