Position Summary

PrePass has an excellent opportunity for an API Quality Assurance Engineer in the transportation industry. The Quality Assurance Engineer will be working with many of the latest Microsoft technologies including .Net, Visual Studio, MS SQL, MVC, WCF, Web API, Azure, Xamarin and custom ASP.Net. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating the integrity and accuracy of the delivered products, applications, and systems to ensure they align with business requirements and conditions of acceptance so quality products are delivered to our customers. Some of the major duties of this position is to test mobile applications on various platforms like iOS, Android and Telematics Service providers and improve test efficiency by providing effective solutions. The ideal candidate would have a keen interest in technology (hardware and/or software) and would love to uphold the quality of deliverables and develop cutting-edge applications. This is a Phoenix-based Hybrid position.

Requirements

What We Want You to Do

• Design, Create, maintain Test Scenarios, Test Cases, Test Scripts, Automated Regression Test Scripts using tools like Microsoft Azure DevOps for Test Management and Automation tools like Postman, Selenium, and ReadyAPI.
• Work with the Developers, Product Owners, and Development Managers to identify and help resolve problems and issues.

• Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining test cases & test scripts across projects for API and web applications.

• Work in team environments using Agile Project Management (SCRUM) and Test-Driven Development (TDD), ensuring integration and regression testing before launch.

• Establish and maintain effective working team relationships and rapport with all departments.

• Assist in the development of systematic approaches for assuring high quality services. Integrate and align the processes that will best achieve the desired results.

• Report and track issues in software and requirements.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Equivalent experience.
• 3 years of experience in Web Application/API Testing.

• Good knowledge of API/Web Application automation testing.
• Good knowledge in Relational Database Management System like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL and SQLite.

• Good knowledge of Nonrelational Database systems like Cosmos, Redis Cache, and MongoDB.

• Good knowledge in understanding the Software Testing life cycle and Methodologies.

• Experience in analyzing the software feature and functional requirement, designing, planning, updating and executing test cases.

• Excellent experience in bug reporting, issue tracking, verifying bugs fixes, following up with bug report, interacting with developers and QA team to coordinate testing activities, debugging, analyzing root cause and verifying changes.

Would Be Great If You Have

• Experience in Mobile Testing is a plus like Mobile API testing using tools like Postman.
• Experience/knowledge in Load/Stress testing.

• Experience/knowledge in API performance testing.

• Experience/knowledge in Penetration/Security testing.
