Purpose

To provide responsible, complex administrative skills for a University sponsored “special purpose” school district requiring the use of initiative and judgment. This position will support the Texas HS, International HS and the Empower programs and their respective leaders. Additionally, the position will be responsible for customer service, supply inventories, and general office coordination. The position will be a front office person in a busy, multi-faceted school district. After a successful probationary period, this position may be eligible for a hybrid-remote schedule. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a strong sense of customer service. Communicate with various stakeholders including campus and program leaders and staff. Answer incoming calls, questions and inquiries.

  • Welcome all students, staff and visitors to the school district.

  • Maintenance of staff/employee and family master lists. Provide and support parental/family communication.

  • Help to distribute materials from administrative staff to students and families.

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the Empower program, UTHS and UT-International HS.

  • Assist with annual waitlist and enrollment lottery, as needed.

  • Manage office, staff and student supplies.

  • Assist programs with tuition payments, purchasing and billing.

  • Help to coordinate travel/trip logistics.

  • Assist scheduling and on-boarding of new interns and employees.

  • Communicate and support the EdServices and technology division.

  • Filing and general office and clerical duties.

  • Other offices tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications

High School graduation or GED; 5 years of clerical experience. Strong communication skills. Strong skills with technology and computers programs. 
 

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Associates degree and/or a Bachelor’s degree. Experience in the educational sector and/or experience with high school and adult aged students and families. Experience with Canvas, Box, DMAC, and/or other educational programs. 

Salary Range

$50,000 + depending on qualifications
