OnsiteCollins Aerospace is looking to hire an Associate Director, Site Operations lead our Military Landing Gear manufacturing team in Haltom City, TX. We are looking for a proven operations professional with strong abilities in leading, coaching, executing projects; and lean deployment. Establishes long term objectives and guidelines for managing and monitoring multiple cells performance and productivity. In this role you will be responsible for product specific build schedule attainment to ensure overall customer success
Position works 100% onsite at our Haltom City, TX (Fort Worth) facility.

Primary Responsibilities:
Manage a team of professionals along with providing direction to salaried and hourly employees, as well as leading area employee engagement, safety, quality and continuous improvement efforts. You will also have the opportunity to manage projects that are critical to our success. Above all, you will propagate a culture encompassing lean principles, employee engagement, and performance excellence.
Responsible for all or a major portion of processing operations in a plant. Oversees production operations (shop floor management, workforce management, and flow disruption management), maintenance, plant engineering, scheduling and personnel. Manages and supervises the work of manufacturing production disciplines in the Operations function. Performs professional or management work regularly across multiple Manufacturing disciplines. Includes activities that cannot be attributed to a defined Operations discipline.
Owns the execution of long-term strategy (e.g., more than 3 years) and operational direction, and Owns the establishment and execution of short- to medium-term operational plans (e.g., less than 1 year to 1-2 years) for the organization. Problems faced are often complex and require extensive investigation and analysis. Requires ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and ability to communicate and influence executive leadership.
Owns and develops critical strategic and operational goals that have significant impact to the achievement of results. Focus is on short to medium-term operational plans (e.g., less than 1 year to 1-2 years) to achieve organization results. Work requires a high degree of responsibility for resources and frequently influences business decisions made by executive leadership. Recommends and implements new processes, policies, standards and operating plans in support of strategies. This role has budget accountability.
Problems and issues faced are numerous and undefined, where information is typically difficult to obtain. Conducts extensive investigation to understand the root cause of problems. Problems are typically difficult and often complex. Problems typically involve consideration of multiple sites, geographies, products or customers. Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experience and analysis of issues. Responsible for improving upon entire processes or systems, leveraging past experiences and/or in-depth understanding of best practices in the marketplace that may improve the competitive position of the organization.
Communicates with parties within and outside of own organization, and has responsibilities for communicating with parties external to the organization, which may include customers or vendors. Works to influence others to accept views/practices and agrees/accepts new concepts, practices, and approaches. Requires ability to communicate with executive leadership regarding matters of significant importance to the organization. Conducts briefings with senior leaders within the job function.
Has authority within own area, in accordance with Corporate Guidelines. Manages multiple teams led by managers. Responsible for creating workforce and staffing plans for department/unit to ensure availability of human capital necessary to accomplish departmental business results.
Travel less than 10%.
Qualifications/ Experience Needed:
Typically requires University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience
