About the role

• Our Project and Engineering team for NAM (North-America), is currently growing and will finally be composed of 5 to 10 persons, is integrated in the Projects department and focuses on engineering and delivering capital investment projects in collaboration with EPCM contractors and Solvay Business units .
• As PM, you will be responsible for managing the assigned projects, Will interface with Global Business Unit (GBU) management throughout project implementation and will communicate progress to the Project Steering Committee on a monthly basis, at a minimum
• You will report directly to Solvay’s Head of Projects
• You will be accountable for:
  • Ensuring that safety is correctly implemented in the projects, both during design and execution, and through construction phases, aligned with GBU host site safe work practices.
  • Managing the capital project including the costs, schedule, functional group activities, and communication to all levels of the organization and managing the local team, including growing the team in competence, performance reviews and all aspects of team management
  • Delivering of the project’s scope of work as agreed to with the sponsoring Business Unit and consistent with the project’s safety goals and protocols, regulatory requirements, established budget and schedule duration
  • The monitoring and reporting of project progress for scope, cost and schedule, throughout execution and be capable of implementing any corrective actions required
  • For using of other capital best practices as appropriate (e.g. constructability reviews, value engineering sessions, risk analysis and management, execute change control consistent with the established Delegation of Authority, assessment schedule compression techniques…) to ensure consistency in project development and predictability in project execution through adherence to company processes and protocols.
