HR Compliance Manager

Key Responsibilities:
Compliance Oversight & Policy Management
- Lead the regular review, revision, and implementation of the employee handbook and all HR policies to ensure legal compliance and operational clarity.
- Monitor changes in employment law and regulations and recommend proactive adjustments.
- Develop and implement policies that support company goals while maintaining legal and ethical standards.
Internal HR Auditing
- Conduct routine internal audits on HR compliance areas, including I-9 verification, FLSA classification, employee files, and compensation practices.
- Partner with internal teams to identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
Employee Relations & Investigations
- Assist HR Operations with complex employee relations issues, conduct objective workplace investigations, review for compliance, and prepare thorough documentation.
- Support HR Operations team and managers in applying policies consistently and lawfully.
Training & Compliance Education
- Work with Talent Development to prepare, assign, and facilitate training sessions on HR compliance topics including anti-harassment, wage and hour laws, workplace conduct, and policy changes.
- Provide ongoing education to HR staff and operational leadership on legal updates and risk mitigation.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a compliance-focused role
- Experience supporting large, decentralized organizations (1,000+ employees preferred)
- Strong knowledge of employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Title VII, etc.)
- Demonstrated success in conducting internal audits, investigations, and compliance training
- Experience presenting information and facilitating compliance training topics
- Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP/SCP and/or bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
