About the team + role

As the Engineering Manager of Accounting and Taxes your team will focus on...

As an Engineering Manager, you’ll lead this dynamic team and work with product, data, operations and other engineering teams to drive innovation in Robinhood's Brokerage Products. You’ll be responsible for crafting the team’s strategy, delivering impactful projects, and scaling the platform to meet the needs of our growing global user base.

What you'll do

• Lead and empower your team: Provide technical and strategic leadership, mentoring engineers, and nurturing a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Drive product excellence: Work closely with product managers and other teams to define and implement a roadmap for next generation Brokerage Platform services.
• Accelerate product and new features: Build and optimize platform services for global markets, ensuring they are scalable and reliable.
• Build scalable systems and components, making the right tradeoffs to account for stability and long-term maintainability.
• Promote standard methodologies in engineering: Ensure high-quality code, scalability, and security in all deliverables.

What you bring

• Technical expertise: You have experience in backend development, (e.g., Python, Golang), and a deep understanding of building platforms.
• Strong product sense: You understand user needs and can translate business goals into elegant technical solutions.
• Leadership experience: Proven ability to lead engineering teams, drive complex projects, and deliver impactful results in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative approach: You excel in working with diverse teams and can influence collaborators across fields.
• Global perspective: Experience in building solutions for international users is a strong plus.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
