Occ Summary
Plan and provide advanced and/or specialized nurs ing care for patientsin accordance with guidelines established within th e Discipline ofNursing Clinical Ladder Program; participate in education al activitiesdepartmental committees, research projects or other health relatedprojects as assigned. Provides nursing services to patients andfa milies in accordance with the scope of the RN as defined by the NorthCar olina Board of Nursing.
Work Performed
Identify careneeds for patient populations across the continuum ofcare. Collaborate a nd provide leadership in the development of standardsof care, patient/fa mily education and staff education to address theneeds of specific popul ations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teamand provide leadership wi th in the delivery of patient care.Provide leadership in educational act ivities, departmental committees,research projects and other health-rela ted projects.Provide evaluation, direction and guidance in the proper se lection, use,care and control of material resources. Appraise quality an deffectiveness of material and equipment and collaborate with appropriat edepartments to assist with vendor selection and feedback on performance .Guide the professional growth of others across the continuum of carethr ough role modeling, coaching and/or mentoring. This may includedesigning orientation modules, primary precepting of senior nursingstudents.Provi de leadership at a departmental, entity, community orregional/national l evel for initiatives focused on improving the qualityof care for populat ions of patients and growth of others.Perform other related duties incid ental to the work described herein.
