About the Logistics Supervisor Role:

Bring your previous Logistics experience to the Chromalloy team.  In this collaborative role, you will be responsible for the oversight of Chromalloy San Diego's logistical operations including the shipping, receiving, transportation of products, site warehouse, stores, and personnel. You will also be responsible for conducting cost analysis of several transportation companies in order to select one that is cost-efficient and able to handle the shipment loads.

Responsibilities Include:

• Overseeing implementation of warehousing, distribution, inventory management, or related strategies.
• Administering organizational logistics policies and standards governing the movement of goods or supplies.
•  Implementing changes meant to improve efficiency and reduce costs associated with the logistics function.
• Understanding and training all staff in the areas of domestic and international shipping, receiving, inventory and expediting.
• Utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates and ensures all orders are shipped accurately and on time daily.
• Ensuring and assists in the accuracy of inventory by maintaining reoccurring cycle counts and shares discrepancies with Management.
• Communicating, assisting, and collaborating with managers and other team members on daily workflow.
• Optimizing and expediting all workflow in order to meet customer deadlines.
• Assigning duties and examining work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
• Studying and standardizing procedures to improve operating efficiency.

Qualifications

If you have a high school diploma along with a minimum of 6 years of experience in a fast paced, collaborative Supervisory Logistics role, then joining Chromalloy is a great career move!     In addition to your education & experience, as a team player you will also have the following skills:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in shipping, receiving, distribution, and inventory including the use of Shipping programs such as those of FedEx, UPS, DHL etc.
• Strong knowledge of MRP Systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office software including, Word, Excell, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.
•  Ability to recommend, interpret, and apply functional operating policies and procedures.
• Ability to manage direct reports relating to training, development, motivation, retention, and discipline.
• Ability to evaluate work performance and motivate behavior change among direct reports when necessary.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate daily with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to develop rapport, trust, and open communication that enhances the growth and performance of direct reports.
• Works cooperatively and collaboratively within a group.
• Ability to facilitate group involvement when conducting meetings.
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with internal and external parties.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stay organized, prioritize, multi-task and delegate in a reasonable, efficient, and professional manner with team.
