The Quality Engineer Intern will work closely with the operations team to ensure our manufacturing process meets or surpasses the required internal quality KPIs and specifications as well as any applicable government regulations.  We are seeking a motivated, results-oriented college student to join our Quality team for the Summer of 2025

Carrier is looking for a Quality Engineer Intern for our 1st shift 2025 cohort from May – August 2025 at our Collierville, TN location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with internal and external customers to ensure the products or services rendered meet or surpass the required internal quality KPIs and specifications as well as any applicable external and government regulations. 

  • Spearhead the analysis and investigation of faulty customer and supplier products and services. 

  • Drive solution plans to completion by working with a cross-functional team, including supplier quality, product engineering, sustaining engineering, research engineering, and operations. 

  • Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation or modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. 

  • Provide support in the analysis and investigation of faulty coils and drive solution plans to completion by working with a cross-functional team of supplier quality, sustaining engineering, research engineering, and operations. 

  • Lead department and site continuous improvement initiatives. 

  • Learn how to utilize the Carrier Excellence (CX) operating system to propose and implement changes to existing processes to streamline and improve overall performance while maintaining cost controls, creating cost-effective use of resources, and ensuring quality.

Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering

  • Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of HVAC industry and experience with refrigeration products

  • Ability to solve challenging and complex customer requests

  • Knowledgeable in CAD system
