Parsons is seeking a talented Lead Modeling and Simulation Architect to join our diverse and dynamic team. The Parsons team supports a customer providing a critical role in our nation’s defense by assessing, developing, and integrating intelligence-backed, medium- to high-fidelity threat system models from across the Defense Intelligence Enterprise into a cohesive wargame simulation environment. In this role, you will lead a group of project teams performing a variety of software development and engineering tasks related to the design, development, integration, operation, and maintenance of complex technology systems. As a recognized specialist with technical insight across multiple fields and disciplines, you will oversee team efforts, applying your expertise to provide analyses and assessments of system requirements, processes, and methodologies that enable total system integration and performance while meeting cost, schedule, and technical objectives.
You will be responsible for comprehending, assessing, and evaluating the full scope of the Modeling and Simulation (M&S) environment, models, and concepts to derive high-level requirements and translate them into actionable tasks for agile software development teams. The complexity of work in this role is state-of-the-art and may be new to both the company and the industry, requiring innovative thinking and strategic problem-solving. Additionally, you will serve as a consultant to the business unit, contributing to long-range planning for emerging areas of technological research and advancements. You will drive strategy to attract and secure major new business opportunities, leveraging your expertise to expand Parsons’ impact in this critical domain.

Define requirements and design solutions for modeling and simulation software to meet operational and technical needs
Serve as the primary facilitator in collecting, refining, and documenting requirements to ensure clarity and alignment with program goals
Translation of customer concepts and operational needs into actionable requirements for software development teams, ensuring compatibility with the current architecture, models, and tool capabilities
