About the role

We are looking for a talented individual to join our finance team. In this role, based in Miami, you will be a key player in the monthly expense closing processes, handling internal recharges calculations, bookings, and controls. Reporting to the Group Closing Manager based in Zürich, your primary focus will be on US ledgers with an emphasis on expenses, investments, and cash management.

Your responsibilities

• Being an integral member of the finance team and participating in all aspects of the monthly expense closing processes

• In charge of internal recharges calculations, bookings and controls

• In charge of invoices processing and validation,

• Monitoring of the activity of Accounts Payables team, based in Labuan

• In charge of calculation and control of financial accruals

• Participating in monthly investment booking and review process

• In charge of posting cash transactions and control of the monthly bank reconciliation process

• Assist with the preparation of quarterly and year end IFRS reporting 

• Assist with production of monthly / quarterly tax returns

• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (banks, auditors, tax team, FP&A, reporting team…)

• Various ad hoc clarifications

• Support in projects

Your profile

• Commercial/accounting education or any comparable business studies

• Chartered Accountant or studying towards such a qualification

• At least 3 years’ experience in bookkeeping, with knowledge in IFRS an added advantage 

• Experience in re/insurance is a plus, but not mandatory

• Good knowledge of MS-Office and General Ledger systems. Experience with Oracle will be considered as a strong asset

• Good communication skills, hands-on working style; team spirit, proactivity and flexibility

• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken; any additional language would be an asset
