AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Archaeological Intern to join our Lake City, FL office.

Our Internship Program, Explore, is designed for college students pursuing a degree in a STEM field and provides opportunities to learn what it’s like to work in a professional environment and apply what’s learned in class to the real-world challenges we face every day.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide administrative and operational support for cultural resource management projects, including archaeological surveys and report preparation.
Conduct archaeological fieldwork under supervision, which may include pedestrian survey, shovel testing, data collection, and/or data recovery in diverse environmental conditions.
Assist with project-related tasks such as artifact processing, data entry, curation, report figure production, site form preparation, desktop survey, and consultation activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE: No prior Cultural Resource Management work experience is required.
EDUCATION: Must have completed 60 hours toward a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a closely related field by the start of the internship.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively.
Candidates must have the ability to work outdoors in varying field conditions, walk long distances, carry up to 40 pounds of equipment, stoop, and squat.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; basic computer and data entry skills.
