Description

Mackin Educational Resources has an immediate opening for a fulltime Facilities / Bindery Machine Maintenance Person. Our employees enjoy working in the comfort of a climate-controlled work environment. The right candidate for this position must have a thorough understanding of commercial Maintenance/Janitorial processes and have the ability to work with minimal supervision while being safety conscious.

  

Responsibilities:

• Daily cleaning: dry mopping and wet cleaning of designated areas, large container trash removal
• Perform proper preventative maintenance on equipment
• Exterior grounds cleanup and debris removal
• Assist in repair or maintenance of operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment as necessary
• Carry out all duties in a safe and appropriate manner while maintaining an acceptable level of quality and efficiency
• Ensure quality & safety standards are met; report unsafe conditions 
• Complete all other work duties as assigned

Requirements

  

• Basic understanding of building mechanical/electrical functions
• Ability to handle daily or regularly scheduled building up keep
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions 
• Ability to lift 30-50 pounds regularly throughout shift
• Must be able to prioritize work 
• Must possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently

Education & Experience:

• Highschool Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of janitorial experience
• Previous commercial machine maintenance experience a plus

Hours:

• Fulltime, Onsite, 7am - 3:30pm, Monday – Friday
• Overtime as necessary

Wages:

• $17.75 per hour
