Job Description:
Conduct design of electric and electronic systems, study power generation and distribution, centralized machinery monitoring and control.
Applying knowledge of and experience with engineering principles and techniques, to develop and evaluate moderately complex technical reports
related to application of
C5I systems onboard USCG ships.
Reviewing and evaluating the effect of new and/or modified electronics on overall system performance.
Review and adjudicate system design specifications, test requirements, Departures from Specification (DFS’s), Request for Waiver (RFW), Engineering Changes (EC’s).
Knowledge of USN, USCG, ABS and/or commercial ship design rules and regulations.
Required Skills and Experiences:
Minimum of 5 years’ of documented experience integrating C5I systems in one of the (three preferred) following categories: Cybersecurity, Command and Control, Navigation, Networking, Internal Communications, External Communications, Sensors, Combat Systems, or Intelligence Systems.
Meets Required DoD IAT Level II Baseline Certification Requirements.
Previous experience with shipboard and defense C5I systems preferred.
Degree Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- A secret security clearance
