Job Summary

We are hiring a skilled software engineer with a strong technology background and data engineering experience to work in an enterprise setting. You will be collaborating with technical and business team members to conceptualize, design, build, and deliver elegant, innovative technology solutions. Your communication skills will be highly valued when working with the business to determine their needs and coordinating with technology to deliver solutions.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Meets with customers to develop detailed analysis of requirements (business specifications, hardware requirements, software requirements) for development. Participates and represents customers’ needs in projects.
  • Performs analysis, scope, and objectives; devises and modifies application and database code to solve problems. Prepares detailed specifications to develop designs and programs.
  • Develops application code and SQL Server database objects. Performs tests, debugs, and documents programs.  
  • Works closely with users to establish system specifications, define user testing, resolve problems and handle issues.
  • Responsible for planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of business problems/requirements to be solved with automated systems.
  • Applies knowledge of the business unit and systems’ capabilities to improve and resolve problem issues.
  • The Analyst-Developer is responsible for design, development, testing, managing UAT, implementation, and maintenance of application systems, including databases for the Risk Business Solutions Team.
  • Performs analysis, scope and objectives, and devises/modifies database and application code to solve problems.
  • Prepares detailed specifications to develop programs, and designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents for the programs.
  • Principal support person for Small Apps applications to resolve problems and handle issues.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of systems/application development experience or extensive experience with development tools and language.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience
  • Must be proficient in Visual Basic, C#, SQL Server, and Outlook.
  • Banking Regulations knowledge desirable.
  • Knowledge of database architecture and design, reporting, ability to create platform to interface with multiple users.
  • Knowledge of System Development Lifecycle and how it integrates into development, testing and production environments.
  • Excellent analytical skills to develop workflow tracking systems, data, and reports.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to interact professionally with various levels of management, peers, and key partners within the Bank.
  • Ability to understand when to escalate issues to management for further direction.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assignments.
  • Ability and willingness to work independently.
  • Experience that demonstrates the skills and qualities that are required for the position.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $120K - $150K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
