Job Description
Technical Writers are responsible for generating innovative ideas for content while working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Technical Writers typically research products, services, technology or concepts to be documented and easily understood by a broad audience.
Job Duties
- Organize and lead documentation deliverables including product manuals and user guides from project inception to implementation.
- Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension.
- Align with Project Management to develop timelines.
- Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions.
- Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed.
- Research product samples as they are developed to fully understand product.
- Analyze information required for the development or update of policy, procedure and form documentation.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Edit and proofread documentation written by others.
Job Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, English, scientific fields, or computer science.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience preferably in a R&D, engineering, or project management role, interfacing with new product development.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Agile development.
- Experience in medical device development.
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- Fluency in technical and common office software.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to check all technical material for consistency and accuracy.
Preferred:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Healthcare Medical Device or Medical IT industry is desired.
- Experience communicating with business development, marketing, and other product focused roles.
- Demonstrated experience in a medium to large Agile projects.
- Competency in Jira, Azure DevOps, Jama Software.
