Financial Reporting Accountant

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our Financial Reporting team. You will be primarily maintaining the U.S. firm’s books and records, and preparing our monthly and annual financial statements, in conjunction with accounting teams both in the U.S. and globally.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Preparing or reviewing various accounting reconciliations and financial schedules that support the financial statements
• Assisting team members in their collaboration with outside auditors and advisors and involvement with U.S. GAAP interpretations, as well as accounting policy and internal control documentation 
• Working closely with other team members, including our accounting-specific technology team, to improve processes and ensure the group’s goals are met

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field
• 5 to 7 years of experience in an accounting background (mix of private and public preferred)
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP 
• Experienced with reviewing financial statements and account reconciliations
• Broker-dealer experience and familiarity with the relevant regulatory regimes are preferred
• Organized with great communication skills; able to build strong collaborative relationships across various groups within the firm
• Self-motivated to improve processes where possible
• Excellent time management skills; able to handle competing priorities and work effectively in a challenging, fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; detail-oriented with a “can-do” attitude when resolving issues
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Experience with accounting and reporting using Workday (Financial Data Model) is a plus 
• Fluency in English required
