Your new role

As our new Senior Consultant, you will be part of our interdisciplinary Arlington, Virginia team. You will work with all levels of expertise from junior-level team members to members with decades of experience, many of whom are subject matter experts in their fields. Consultants and Managers are part of a continual learning environment where they learn through coaching, mentoring and on-the-job tasks.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Conducting Occupation Health Exposure Assessments for chemicals and noise.
• Designing and implementing Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) assessments
• Asbestos, Mold, and Lead, Assessments and Remediation Project Oversight
• Interpreting industrial hygiene results as compared to OSHA PELs and ACGIH TLVs and other applicable regulatory standards and guidlines.
• Critically reviewing and interpreting industrial hygiene data for comparison to governmental regulations and industry guidelines.
• Maintaining client relationships and managing the development of deliverables to meet client needs in an efficient manner.

Qualifications

About you

• BS/MS in a relevant engineering discipline (industrial hygiene, occupation safety, or closely related) or science discipline (chemical, environmental science, or closely related).
• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is preferred.  Those with the motivation and ability to obtain a CIH credential within two years of hire will be considered.
• Dual credentialed CIH and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) would be strongly considered.
• 5+ years of relevant industrial hygiene and indoor air quality experience is required.
• Mathematical/computational skills including high-level use of spreadsheets and word processing and effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills.
• Advanced training in industrial hygiene exposure assessments and IAQ is required. 
• Candidates must be willing to perform short-term travel up to 40% of the time on average during the year and possess a valid driver’s license. Travel may include overnight stay and may be out of state.
