About the role

 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1.       Able to communicate in clearly and effectively both orally and in writing. Answer questions and offer assistance by providing accurate information on services relating to all areas of the hotel and casino.

2.       Supervises the Hotel team members, assist with interviews, evaluation and progressive discipline action when required.   Ensures all training is complete and documented.

3.       Implement and monitor department standards to ensure quality service.

4.       Supervise and monitor daily work performance of team members ensuring the completion of their duties and any other assigned work.

5.       Ensure that customer problems and complaints are handled in an effective, courteous, and prompt manner.

 

6.       Generate, review and analyze a variety of reports on a daily basis in order to monitor efficiency and costs.

7.       Maintain the entrance area in a clean and safe manner.

8.       Handle thorough investigation of customer complaints and vehicle incident reports with accurate documentation.

9.       Report problems found in operation and any unsafe equipment or unusual situations requiring action.

10.    Inspects storage areas for upkeep and supply control and requisitions all EVS supplies and equipment and maintains adequate inventory to provide a clean, safe, comfortable environment.

11.    Attend all training classes as directed by the company.

12.    Lead buzz sessions and   pre-shift department meetings.

13.    Performs other tasks as assigned by management.

14.    Provides for safety and security.

15.    Handles employees' complaints.

16.    Monitors legal compliance with federal, state, and gaming laws.

17.    Must be able to certified under Caesars Motor Vehicle policy and Serve Safe training

18.    Assist with hotel inventory process.

19.    Oversee the lost and found process.

20.    Demonstrates proper use of chemicals, equipment and MSDS sheets

21.    Coordinates repair needs with maintenance and marine departments.

22.    Performs other tasks as assigned by management.

 

 

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

PHYSICAL - Must be able to:

 

1.       Ability to bend, stoop or kneel; climb, ascend and descend stairs.

2.       Maintain equilibrium; ability to stand and walk for entire shift.

3.       Work in varying conditions of heat, cold, and inclement weather.

4.       Respond to or communicate via telephone, radio or beeper.

 

5.       Must be able to see and must be able to hear.  Can be augmented with a hearing aid.

 

6.       Repetitive bending and lifting.

7.       Ability to lift, carry, push and pull heavy objects.

8.       Ability to reach for specific objects at short distances in local working areas.

9.       Sufficient manual dexterity of hand to utilize a computer keyboard and calculator.

 

MENTAL - Must be able to:

 

1.       Communicate directly with management, staff and guests.

 

2.       Understand and comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels and other instructions.

 

3.       Must be able to work under stressful conditions.


 

Qualifications:

 

 

PREREQUISITES/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

College degree preferred. Ability to logically and independently plan, organize and complete the work. Possess well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to set and achieve high standards of performance. Ability to make progress on multiple assignments under time constraints. Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system. Ability to perceive quality of work, read material and review documents. Receive instructions and hear inquiries from guests, clients, or staff; ability to remain alert throughout the duration of shift and remain calm during emergency situations. Ability to act independently while analyzing data and drawing conclusions from written and computer generated materials. Minimum of 2 years experience in Hotel Operations, hospitality/tourism, public relations, or related field, 2 years money handling experience 2 years experience in a supervisory position. Must possess strong supervisory and service oriented skills.

 

       

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENTS: 21 years of age

 

 

GAMING:

 

Must have the ability to hold an Occupational License as required by the Illinois Gaming  Board.
