Adventist Healthcare seeks to hire an experienced LAN Technician II for our Information Technology team in Gaithersburg, MD who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a LAN Tech II you will:
• Provide Service Operations response and support for all requests, incidents and access related efforts performed on site at any of the organization’s locations
• Assist with the installation, configuration, upgrade, and overall provide day-to-day administration and support required for the AHC compute environment
• Support the administration and configuration of end point devices to include laptops, tablets, desktops, peripherals, and clinical devices
• Conduct site surveys, assesses and document current site equipment, configurations and user requirements
• Be able to take a flexible work schedule and be on call after hours
• Follow standard operating procedures in the implementation and transition of software and hardware deployments
• Facilitate conversations across AHC employees, vendors and other support teams while implementing or upgrading devices and software
• Follow change and release management processes
• Work with the Project Management Office on device refresh and general device deployment activities
• Participate in the creation of detailed work breakdown structures for the implementation of automated and manual provisioning configurations
• Follow PMBOK and ITIL principles in the planning and design of end point device deployments
• Assist with requirements data gathering and analysis as needed
• Assist with the planning and design end point device workflows
• Participate in reviewing vendor solutions to address end point devices requirements of the business and clinical departments
• Provide expertise to identify and translate end point workflow into configuration requirements

Qualifications include:
• Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science or information technology is preferred
• 2+ years of experience supporting workstations, peripherals and general end point devices in an enterprise environment
• A+ Certification or similar certification required
• ITILv3 Foundations is preferred
• An additional industry certification in desktop, mobile, network or server technology is required
• Experience working in the healthcare industry or mission critical industry and regulated environment (HIPAA) is preferred

Work Schedule:

Employment Type: Full-time on site

Hours per Week: 40 hours

Typical Daily Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00AM- 5:00PM; staggered shifts

Pay Range:

$60,486.56 - $87,705.51

If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.

Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as:

United States of America (Exempt)
