Internal Tax Manager - Research & Audit

<p><strong>Position Summary</strong><br>Gelfand, Rennert &amp; Feldman is seeking a Tax Manager to join our team of dedicated professionals. This position can be based out of Century City on a hybrid basis. The Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial and tax aspects related to assigned client accounts.</p> <p><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Supervision and training of assigned Staff Accountants and assigned Account Managers</li> <li>&nbsp;Review&nbsp;and possible preparation of moderate to complex, multi-state tax returns (individual, S corporation, C corporation, partnership, estate, and trusts)</li> <li>Stay&nbsp;abreast of changing state and federal laws, policies, and economic/political climate which may affect clients’ finances</li> <li>Supervise&nbsp;and review Staff Accountant’s and/or Senior Staff Accountant’s preparation of moderately complex tax returns</li> <li>Conduct tax research and multi-jurisdictional planning, and foreign touring clearances</li> <li>Review financial reports that may include net worth statements, cash flow schedules, meeting packages, budgets, investment analysis, tour reconciliations, etc.</li> <li>Communication with clients and client representatives via phones, email, and in-person meetings</li> <li>Act as a coach and trainer to develop staff members into efficient and effective client team members, and address performance issues and concerns as needed</li> <li>Assist Managing Director in identifying and onboarding prospective clients</li> <li>Support Account Managers to provide highest level of customer service by assisting with contracts, budgeting, home purchases, tours, and year-end</li> <li>Other projects and duties as assigned</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree with at least 4+ years in a similar role&nbsp;is required</li> <li>Master's Degree, CPA and/or 6+ years in a similar role is highly preferred</li> <li>Basic understanding of AgilLink is highly preferred</li> <li>Familiarity with GoSystems, CCH Axcess, or SurePrep required</li> <li>Proven knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, laws and rule/regulations</li> <li>Sense of urgency and demonstrated ability to follow through</li> <li>Commitment to professionalism and accuracy</li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills to create and maintain a trusting relationship with staff and clients</li> <li>Prior exposure to royalties, touring services, music publishing and record label administration is highly preferred&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between&
