About the role
We are currently looking for a Senior Property Manager/Supervisor to join our Digital Adjusting Team (DAT),to supervise a team of adjusters handling claims throughout North America. The primary location is Phoenix, AZ, where the candidate will be required to adhere to our in-office hybrid 3/2 work week schedule.
This position will be responsible for the administrative management, staff development and technical claim results for one unit of property claim adjusters throughout the country and locally. The ideal candidate will be located in the Phoenix, Arizona market. The role is an in-office role where the candidate will work in the office in adherence with our 3/2 hybrid schedule working in office 3 days a week, and remote 2 days a week. The individual will collaborate with and report to the Pacific based VP, Claim Manager and be responsible for delivering excellent financial and service results as well as a high-quality product. The position will also be responsible for developing staff, succession planning and executing strategies to achieve goals and objectives. Ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient/consistent delivery of service to our customers and business partners that meets or exceeds Chubb's standards and complies with all applicable statutes/regulations within the assigned jurisdiction(s).
Key Responsibilities
- The candidate must be both service-oriented and results-driven and must also possess excellent administrative, leadership and organizational skills.
- Estimating oversight for direct reports where a prior estimating background with experience in Xactimate, CoreLogic or similar system is required.
- Utilize digital technology to evaluates damage and scope and estimate virtually and compose estimate via CoreLogic Mobile Claims.
- Full knowledge of personal insurance contracts, investigation techniques, legal requirements, and insurance regulations a plus. Demonstrated ability to learn commercial property contracts.
- Effectively evaluate contract language and identify coverage issues
- Ability to oversee and drive actions to recognize exposure and provide direction and oversight to direct reports to investigate and adjust both personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000
- Candidate must be able to make timely and appropriate decisions.
- Experience in performance management, salary administration, training, staff development, and succession planning is a strong plus.
- Must be an articulate communicator who is interested in helping others achieve corporate and personal objectives.
- Supports workload surges and/or Catastrophe Operations as needed to during designated CATs
- Candidate must be able to manage business relationships with internal/external customers and investigate/resolve issues and/or complaints in a fair and equitable manner.
- Recognize and pursue recovery
- Adhere to all statutory and regulatory fair claims practices.
- We are seeking a property supervisor with a minimum of 5 years of experience handling property claims, where prior field claim handling is required along with prior estimating experience.
- 2 years of estimating experience in software platforms such as CoreLogic and or Xactimate will be required.
- Previous experience in a property claims supervision or managerial role, particularly in managing remote staff, is highly desirable.
- A 4-Year college degree or appx. 10-year equivalent property claims handling experience is required.
