Term: April 2025 with possible 6-month extension

 

As the Planning, Policy, and Business Analyst, you will offer guidance and support for strategic planning, policy development, and business analysis within AOS. Your primary focus will be to provide expert assistance at both the strategic and operational levels to meet the MESA Line of Business (LOB) goals. This mandate seeks to harmonize GEOINT analytical activities and resources across AOS and its partners.

 

Duties include:

• Advise the Government in establishing mission goals and objectives.
• Lead development of strategic planning, business analytics, and operational or performance assessments to help AOS improve our mission and management.
• Facilitate/moderate daily/weekly/monthly small to large Senior-level groups for MESA LOB activities across the NSG and ASG.
• Advise AOS process/management improvement recommendations and facilitate quality improvement efforts.
• Translate strategic directives or policies into operational specifications.
• Provide assessment and recommendations for new AOS policy or management changes.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Problem Identification, Analysis, and Resolution.
• Effective communication, both oral and written.
• Support AOS Line of Business executive management, process, leadership, and reporting
• Support MESA LOB requirements and executive management, process, leadership, and reporting.
• Provide business management/strategy support
• Support Mission Management strategy, development, and execution
• Develop strategy documentation and guidance to support AOS management processes
• Facilitate cross Office engagements and requirements planning needs
• Identify and provide support to business processes and improvements
• Provide business analytics, metrics, or other analysis to measure success

 

Skills and Experience

 

Required:

• Possess a Graduate Degree or higher in business or management or at least 12 years of relevant experience providing business management/strategy support in lieu of a Graduate Degree.
• Possess at least 15 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience with business analytics and metrics reporting to include program management concepts, processes, and execution.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating multi-Office, Directorate-wide, Cross-Organization engagements.
• Demonstrated experience in intelligence product lines, production systems/processes, and data sets, including regional operational intelligence priorities, national strategic intelligence priorities, and related decision-making processes.

• Demonstrated experience in implementing strategic objectives and supporting implementation
• Demonstrated experience in implementing effective business practices to increase productivity
• Demonstrated experience writing strategic plans, business policies, and business operation objectives
• Demonstrated experience working collaboratively and engaging with multiple organizations and personnel
• Demonstrated experience gathering research and information from multiple resources and presenting findings in a formal report to senior leaders
• Demonstrated experience facilitating, negotiating, and compromising with customers and producers on project scope, deadlines, etc.
• Demonstrated experience with the intelligence analysis and production process
