This role requires broad technical expertise across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, and fire protection systems to ensure maximum uptime, safety, and operational excellence.</p><p>The successful candidate will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance while supporting facility projects, change management activities, emergency response, and continuous improvement initiatives. Engineers will work independently and collaboratively with facility teams, vendors, and customers to maintain critical infrastructure in a 24/7 operational environment.</p><h2><b>Key Responsibilities</b></h2><ul><li>Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot critical facility systems and infrastructure.</li><li>Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, controls, and fire protection systems.</li><li>Respond to facility alarms, equipment failures, and emergency situations while ensuring rapid restoration of services.</li><li>Monitor building automation systems (BAS), controls systems, and critical equipment performance.</li><li>Support commissioning, testing, and startup activities for new equipment and facility upgrades.</li><li>Participate in change management, lockout/tagout (LOTO), safety programs, and operational procedures.</li><li>Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers performing work within critical environments.</li><li>Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, permits, and compliance documentation.</li><li>Identify reliability risks and recommend corrective actions to improve system performance and uptime.</li><li>Participate in on-call and emergency response rotations as required.</li><li>Conduct routine facility inspections and equipment rounds.</li><li>Assist with energy management, sustainability initiatives, and operational efficiency programs.</li><li>Support root cause investigations following equipment failures or operational incidents.</li></ul><h2><b>Required Qualifications</b></h2><ul><li>High school diploma or GED required.</li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience operating and maintaining commercial, industrial, semiconductor, healthcare, laboratory, or data center facilities.</li><li>Demonstrated expertise in multiple facility disciplines, including:<ul><li>HVAC systems</li><li>Electrical distribution systems</li><li>Plumbing systems</li><li>Building Automation Systems (BAS)</li><li>Direct Digital Controls (DDC)</li><li>Fire alarm systems</li><li>Fire suppression systems</li></ul></li><li>Strong understanding of critical facility operations and maintenance best practices.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and controls drawings.</li><li>Experience troubleshooting complex facility systems and equipment failures.</li><li>Strong knowledge of safety regulations and safe work practices.</li><li>Proficiency with CMMS systems such as Maximo or equivalent.</li><li>Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned.</li></ul><h2><b>Required Certifications</b></h2><ul><li>EPA Universal CFC Refrigerant Certification (required)</li><li>Valid driver's license and ability to meet site access requirements</li></ul><h2><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></h2><ul><li>Completion of a Stationary Engineer Apprenticeship Program</li><li>State-issued Stationary Engineer License (where applicable)</li><li>Fire Pump Testing and Inspection Certification</li><li>Experience in semiconductor, mission-critical, or data center environments</li><li>NFPA and fire protection systems knowledge</li><li>Experience with VFDs, UPS systems, generators, switchgear, and critical cooling systems</li><li>Mechanical or Electrical Trade Certification</li><li>OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification</li><li>Knowledge of energy management and facility optimization practices</li></ul><h2><b>Physi
