We have an opportunity for a Real Estate Director to join our Golden Valley, MN team. You will be responsible for the development and deployment of systems and processes, as well as projects delivered across multiple Business Units, including global manufacturing, office, warehouse/distribution, and supply chain. This position will work closely with all levels of the organization to ensure that best practices and continuous improvement are a part of our culture as well as proper scoping, planning, execution, and delivery of objectives. You will work with management and internal support organizations to drive change and lead complex efforts. Most importantly, you will be a leader in helping to work on significant transformation initiatives across the globe representing Pentair Global Real Estate.

You will:

  • Lead internal program management providing oversight of key corporate strategic initiatives to ensure a quality delivery within budget and schedule. Oversee assigned strategic real estate projects at a high programmatic level from conception to completion to ensure achievement of business needs while providing accurate documentation and costs.
  • Facilitate the daily operation of multiple portfolio locations, including HQ.
  • Manage oversight of internal and external project resources across multiple portfolio initiatives.
  • Make leadership decisions within established policies, procedures, and established objectives.
  • Solve both routine and unique problems of high complexity by analyzing possible solutions using experience, judgment, best practices, and precedents.
  • Create business cases, financial analyses, and presentations for Departmental, Division, and Executive and Senior Management
  • Develop analyses and presentations for complex CRE projects and transactions using established tools and processes.
  • Identify and resolve technical, operational, risk management, business, and organizational challenges.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, superiors, CRE and other Bank peers as require.
  • Support refinement and deployment of project management structure, approach, delivery, and tools.
  • Assess, plan, execute, and deliver multiple projects while meeting organizational objectives of various size and scale.
  • Perform various duties, tasks, initiatives, and projects as assigned. 

Key Qualifications: 

  • A solid understanding and experience with the principles, practices, theories, and/or methodologies associated within the CRE discipline.
  • At least 10 years of successful experience with a proven record of sustainable results in program management, project management and project delivery.
  • Experience with Warehouse, Distribution, Manufacturing and Office environments.
  • An earned bachelor’s degree or an advanced degree is preferred
  • Latitude to travel at 30-60% levels (globally), per assigned project needs.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills, and the ability to lead and manage in a dynamic global environment.
  • The ability to manage multiple complex -and often competing - priorities using analytics, technology, transferrable skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience presenting to and collaborating with peers, Executive and Senior Leadership.
  • Ability to independently solve problems by using demonstrated experience, judgment, best practices, standards, and precedents.
  • The ability to complete assignments on time and on budget with significant latitude, discretion, and self-direction.
  • Strong financial background and acumen with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Direct design and accountability for engineering, construction, or technical projects within Industrial, Healthcare and/or Office settings.
  • Corporate experience in dynamic segmented and/or matrixed organizations.
  • Large portfolio experience.
  • Global project delivery.
  • Direct exposure to Commercial Real Estate activities - involving both leased and owned assets.
  • Experience with Physical Security.
  • Delivery of Auxiliary Services within a multitude of corporate environments.
  • Thorough computer skill
