The Role
We are seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager (TPM) to join the Data & AI team at Moderna, reporting directly to the VP of Data & AI Transformation - Digital. The focus of your work will be to operationalize Generative AI to promote and improve mRNA medicine delivery, managing and coordinating multiple projects and initiatives that involve both Moderna and our contractors across business lines including but not limited to Research, Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs and Commerce.
As a Senior TPM at Moderna, you will have the unique opportunity to manage the project backlog, coordinate with the engineering team, implement project management methodologies, identify and mitigate risks, facilitate cross-functional communication, and align Generative AI projects with Moderna's technological and business objectives. You will not only be working with cutting-edge technology, but also shaping its implementation, driving its integration into our processes, and setting new industry standards for the application of AI in biotech. Here’s What You’ll Do
Oversee multiple product launches, leading efforts across the software development lifecycle.
Foster relationships with software engineers, product managers, and key business stakeholders.
Streamline delivery schedules to ensure on-time and efficient delivery of results.
Uphold quality standards through release protocols, effectively triaging any bugs or issues.
Collaborate with Product Managers to translate business needs into technical product requirements.
Identify and manage dependencies, creating strategic solutions for potential roadblocks.
Assign tasks and maintain a balanced workload to ensure successful product delivery.
Actively participate in budget allocations, capacity planning, product strategy, and risk management to drive efficient use of resources and alignment with business objectives and resources.
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Machine Learning, or related fields
7+ years of experience in technical roles such as software development, data science, or bioinformatics with strong exposure to Data & AI technology
3+ years of experience in data-intensive software delivery methodologies, including CI/CD, Agile or Scrum methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
A master's degree in computer science, Engineering or Machine Learning.
Domain expertise in multiple areas such as Security, API integration, application lifecycle management, web application operations, and cloud services
Familiarity with biotech industry’s research, manufacturing, commercial and regulatory environments
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment, excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Under Washington State law, Moderna is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for the jobs covered by this description. Base compensation for these positions in Washington State range from $144,000 to $230,500 . Actual salary determinations will take into account factors such as work location, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge, and demonstrated skills. Compensation decisions are made on the facts and circumstances of each case.
