Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Structural Analysis Engineer. In this role, you will perform detailed structural analysis on spacecraft components and systems, present analysis data to the spacecraft engineering team and customers, and support component-level and system-level structural tests. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of structural analysis methods and processes, finite element numerical solution tools, and engineering level computer programming tools. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or related technical field) or equivalent experience/combined education
• Experience with finite element numerical solution tools and processes (e.g., NX/NX Nastran, Ansys, Abaqus, Solidworks)
• US Citizenship and the desire and ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
Desired skills
• Experience with structural analysis methods and processes (e.g., load paths, mechanical joints, stress/strain, fatigue/fracture, buckling, classical hand calculations)
• Experience with engineering level computer programming (e.g., Matlab)
• Experience with test engineering, instrumentation, data collection, and/or test reports
• Self-motivated with an active interest to learn from and engage with a team
• Excellent written and verbal technical
communication skills
• Active Top Secret or SCI Security Clearance
