Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Graduate of an accredited Advance Practice nursing program with either a Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) degree or Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) degree
• American Heart Association BLS & ACLS, NIHSS certifications

Experience / Qualifications

• Holds a current license as an ARNP in the state of Florida
• Specialized skills to integrate care across the continuum and through three spheres of influence:  patient, nurse, system
• Able to create environments through mentoring and system changes that empower nurses to develop caring, evidence-based practice to alleviate patient distress, facilitate ethical decision-making and respond to diversity (The Consensus Model for APRN Regulation)

Position Summary

The APRN/PA works in collaboration with physicians and other patient care team members, in an active practice to deliver health care services to patients and families.

·         Provides direct patient care.  

·         Performs procedures and prescribes medications under protocol.

·         Provides patient education and counseling.

·         Participates in the marketing, evaluation and growth at JMC.

·         The position will support the physician plus assisting as first assist in the OR.

·         Performs other duties as assigned.

Position is a salaried position with flexibility of time depending on the needs of the patients and nursing team; occasional call required
