Overall Purpose Of The Job
This position is in support of the City of Chicago’s Migrant Shelter operations. Located in the Chicago Illinois region.
The primary function of the Behavioral Health Assistant is to provide support for the program by conducting financial assessment interviews to collect information from clients on their economic status and to assess their ability to pay for mental health services provided by the city’s mental health facilities

clients on their economic status and to assess their ability to pay for mental health services provided
by the city’s mental health facilities, and performs related duties as required.

Job Profile
Required Skills and Knowledge (Brief description of technical knowledge or skills needed to perform the job)
Strong PC/Microsoft Office applications background
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong team building and team-member skills.
Excellent data entry skills
Experience:
Highschool diploma or equivalent
Education:
Certification by the State of Illinois as a licensed Vision Screening Technician and Hearing Screening
Technician is required.
Physical Demands:
Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications:
US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
