Job Description

 

Turner & Townsend is hiring a driven and highly motivated Project Coordinator to work with our team in Austin, Texas, and support a global technology client with construction of TI projects for their larger portfolio initiative.

The role will be responsible to manage small project(s) from startup to completion including but not limited to; design phase, construction phase, commissioning and close out.

The ideal candidate will be resilient, a self-starter, and able to take the initiative and drive activities with limited supervision. The ideal candidate will also have an engineering or construction background with strong construction knowledge and experience.

 

Responsibilities:

  • This role requires full time M-F in a client office working in a fast-paced environment for a confidential client in the tech industry.
  • This role is located in North Austin.
  • The role requires a smart, motivated professional to work closely with global facilities teams and various internal departments including Finance, Procurement, Security and Legal to support all aspects of their rapidly expanding footprint.
  • Assist in monitoring and documenting project progress and other key performance indicators.
  • Assist in managing internal project budgets within appropriate software platforms for monthly/quarterly/yearly financial reporting.
  • Assist in compiling contractual documentation to support contract and PO issuances for assigned vendors.
  • Perform document control duties as required.
  • Issue and track purchase orders for new and existing vendors.
  • Manage monthly vendor invoice review process within invoicing software, including project management review, 3rd party auditing services, and communication with Accounts Payable.
  • Facilitate change order routing and review processes within project management software.
  • Assist in scheduling coordination meetings and job walks.
  • Assist in financial closeout of internal budgets, Vendor POs, etc.
  • Assist in meeting minutes and distribution to greater team

Qualifications

 

Qualifications and experience:

  • You are an ambitious professional with at least three years of experience working in a similar capacity or role.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills are a must in this highly collaborative role based in the US.
  • BA/BS in Business, Construction, Architecture, or a related field. Relevant work experience will also be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of (3) year’s professional experience in project controls or administration.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and presentation skills.
  • A problem-solving mindset.
  • Expert in Microsoft and Google Suite of software products; especially Excel
  • Corporate Interiors and Tenant Improvement experience is a plus.
