Position Summary

The Sr. Warehouse Associate is responsible for the physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. 

Work Location: Thousand Oaks Reports to: Warehouse Ops and Distribution SupervisorPrimary Responsibilities

• GMP Warehouse Operations and Clinical Distribution
• Supports in development of warehouse/distribution work instructions.
• Recognize, develops warehouse processes, and establish 5S work for department.
• Drafts process related SOPs
• Creates tools to ensure effective and efficient warehouse results.
• Handles all GMP related warehouse activities and ERP or manual transactions
• Perform GMP warehouse cleaning as required and coordinate with cleaning service for GMP warehouse cleanings
• Manages all warehouse equipment, coordinated with facilities and vendors as needed for maintenance and repairs.
• Performs receipt, inspection, put away, inventory transactions, and cycle counts.
• Assemble kits for MFG use and may be required to comply with Aseptic environment requirements.
• May occasionally work in a clean room environment and wear special garments and personal protective equipment (e.g. hard hats, safety shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs) due to safety requirements in specific areas.
• Package into secondary or tertiary containers including cryogenic shippers/equipment
• Perform secondary packaging and labeling activities
• Coordination and communication with stakeholders
• Ability to multi-task and follow SOP’s, Work Instructions, and accurately complete documentation
• Attentive to details and flexibility to shift from distribution to warehouse activities seamlessly
• Pick, pack and ship Clinical and Commercial product
• Pick out of LN2 freezers, -20C/-80C freezers, 2-8C and ambient controlled storage areas
• Projects as assigned

 

Non-Clinical:

• Processes all inbound non-GMP shipments (supplies, research samples, equipment).
• Drafts process related SOPs
• Processes Goods Receipts for non-clinical POs.
• Delivered packages to designated delivery locations -e.g. labs and mailroom)
• Organize Warehouse area
• General housekeeping

Travel:  Travel is not frequently required (<5%)

 

 Physical Requirements:

• Work is generally performed in warehouse and controlled environment (manufacturing cleanroom and controlled non-classified spaces).
• Must be able to work in controlled environments requiring special gowning. Will be required to follow gowning requirements and wear personal protective equipment over the head, face, hands, feet, and body.
• Must be able to work in cold and wet environments while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Must be able to operate warehouse equipment (WAV, pallet jacks, etc.)
• Work is generally performed in a cGMP manufacturing facility
• Subject to extended periods of sitting, walking or standing on concrete flooring
• Must be physically capable of climbing, kneeling, stooping, lifting and bending.
• Must be able to frequently lift of 16-30 lbs. and occasionally lift 50+ lbs with assistance.
