Construction Draw Inspector

Vontive is looking for individuals with experience in construction, construction management, or as a licensed home inspector to conduct virtual property inspections of active construction and renovation projects.

With its Technology for Lenders partner, Vontive is building an inspection platform that is changing the way value-add projects are managed. As a Construction Draws Inspector, you will be responsible for assessing project completion and managing project risk, all through a completely virtual process.

Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual inspections of construction and renovation projects to verify that the completed work matches the requested funds for disbursement
• Review appraisal photos so as to understand the initial property condition
• As necessary, review construction plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure project alignment
• As necessary, coordinate with borrowers or their designated onsite point of contact to schedule onsite inspections
• Document and report inspection findings, including project overviews and discrepancies
• Verify that construction progress and quality
• Conduct post-construction inspections to ensure that all work has been completed to a satisfactory level

Requirements

• Experience in construction management, general contracting, or related fields
• Preference for candidates who have passed the National Home Inspector Exam
• Knowledge of construction techniques and materials
• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans and drawings
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors and discrepancies
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
• Proficiency in using technology and software applications related to construction inspection and reporting
