Logistics Specialist IV

We could use your expertise on our team! As a Government Property Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring assets are managed throughout their life cycle and all current and new asset management systems and process are in compliance with FAR part 45 and FAR Clauses 52.245-1 and company polices. in this role, you'll act as the focal interface with new projects, government agencies, customers, and company management on topics that relate to asset management and promote better understanding of the property organization’s role throughout the company.

Responsibilities:

• Receive GFE; add GFE label; add to SNC database (EQuip); add to Government Property data base (PIEE)
• Responsible for storage and inventory requirement of Government Property
• Assist Programs when Material/Equipment is need for Aircraft or end product

Must-haves:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience
  • A higher level degree may substitute for experience
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

• Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills
• Basic understanding of Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques
• Basic understanding of and experience with the practical application of production/manufacturing principles, techniques and best practices
• Ability to understand and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
• Experience with materials management systems
• Knowledge of Government Property (PIEE) Databases
• Experience with Auditing, either performing audits or being audited

Preferred:

• Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems
• HazMat Training/Certification
• Ability to operate a Forklift
• Experience with shipping databases, such as FedEx, DHL, UPS
• Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and clean driving record
• Understanding of Shelf Life
• Experience with materials management systems
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with other departments in a tactful and effective manner
• Demonstrated ability to interpret Federal Acquisition Regulations ( FAR ) supplements and contracts
• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
